Professor Chamberlain was an econometric theorist of towering importance whose work deeply influenced econometric theory and the conduct of empirical work in economics and the social sciences.

    At a Meeting of the Faculty of Arts and Sciences on Nov. 2, 2021, the Minute honoring the life and service of the late Richard Ernest Kronauer, Gordon McKay Professor of Mechanical Engineering, Emeritus, was placed upon the records. Professor Kronauer was a renowned scholar of mathematical biology whose Harvard career spanned more than six decades.

Menzel Professor of Astrophysics, Emeritus, was placed upon the records. Professor Layzer was a theoretical astrophysicist noted for proposing thoughtful alternative interpretations of physical phenomena that were outside the mainstream.
